It seems like any other Facebook group but it isn’t. Arsalanstien is a science group made for the science lover to promote the idea of D.I.Y or Do-It-Yourself. Anyone having a basic know-how of science can now actually make gadgets by themselves. You can find video tutorials or simple diagrams, to guide you on making different things. Like; Magic Lights, Speakers, Wind Turbine and so on. The best thing is that you’ll be using stuffs that we often find obsolete or scrap to us. So it’s also a good initiate for recycling computer or other electrical products and making worth out of it, all on your own. So we, the Clique Team, thought of bringing you an exclusive interview of the young and very much talented man who is behind this brilliant project, Mr. Arsalan Shakeel.
CLQ: What is Arsalanstien and how did you come up with the Idea?
AS: Being a science student with the insatiable thirst of knowledge I needed someone to be my topnotch personality to whom I can aim of and to whom I can be alike of. Then I found a name which got my eyes of captivation and that was Albert Einstein. I am inspired with his ideology and with his immense work in physics. When I realized that all the information which I have gathered so far or is being seek out have no value unless I introduce it to others then I thought of spreading my knowledge. Finally I came up with this group and keeping in mind the name whom gave science a new turn and who's my best personality I thought to make it as "ARSALAN-STIEN"
However there's a difference in spelling after "T" because in "Einstein" there is "E" after "T" and in "Arsalanstien" there is "I" after "T". It's because the word "Stein" refers to "a mug intended for serving beer". That was the cause of changing the alphabets

CLQ: How many People are working under the Shed of Arsalanstien?
AS: This group along with its project is lead by only me (Arsalan Shakeel) I am a second year student of pre-engineering. I recently made this group and trying to introduce these stuffs in my country as much as I can and help others specially students in making them understand about electronic projects which they usually have as assignments.

CLQ: Have you participated in any national/international contests?
AS: When I was in 9th standard I first participated in a competition which was held in "Sir Syed Girls College" for my Discharge Tube project.

CLQ: Any local/foreign projects?
AS: Recent project of mine includes, cheapest solar technology and a theft alarming system in which if detects anything will alert house owner by calling directly on his mobile in case if he is not at home or will rise alarm if he is at home.

CLQ: How do you see the Social Media helping you in your projects?
AS: There's only one thing which is giving me enough support that I can share my knowledge to others and that is Facebook only.

CLQ: How healthy is the local environment? Do you find any hurdles?
AS: By the grace of my almighty Allah I have no problems in doing it and I got full support of my parents.

CLQ: What would be your suggestion to the new comers?
AS: Suggestion is just that be aware of what's happening. Don't be such that if you are seeing something in the sky you call it illusion of your eyes. You are the nation which "Quaid" has faith on. Prepare for the challenges and use Science as your weapon because it's the only thing that can make your feet stable in any part of the world.

KeEp It uP Dude.....you R doIng a gReAt jobE.I love your Interest to take science as a thiriling and excitement way...:) but U shud chAnge ur nAme the nAme of "stien"...its not gud for u bcoz its Arsalan Shakil the nAme of posssIblity..:P and a muslim nAme is Alwayz better for a Muslim.

Hey but i do appreciate what u did that's fabulos job but i have request for you that dont't forget ur Homeland when u will become a Great Scientist.
Everyone ought to stick with their own interest.
ReplyDeleteBut keeping in mind the creativity of science in todays world you have to put your feet down in Science too. Like;
Doctors need machines to perform operations, Businessmen need their Blackberries or smart phones to get updates from the stock markets etc.
Einstein says everyone in this world comes up with a specific work. Now it's your job to find which work fits on you. Because one size fits for none.
